If the serv\u00ader doesn\u2019t val\u00adi\u00addate the received infor\u00adma\u00adtion, and doesn\u2019t check that it comes from a reli\u00adable source, then it will stock these wrong infor\u00adma\u00adtion in its cache. After\u00adwards, it will trans\u00admit it to the users who exe\u00adcute the request aimed by the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-psAqPq eplus-wrapper\">This kind of attack by <strong><em>DNS cache poi\u00adson\u00ading<\/em><\/strong>, allows for exam\u00adple, to send a user towards a fake web\u00adsite, the con\u00adtent of which can serve to phish\u00ading or as virus vec\u00adtor or oth\u00ader mali\u00adcious appli\u00adca\u00adtions. A com\u00adput\u00ader present on the Inter\u00adnet uses nor\u00admal\u00adly a DNS serv\u00ader man\u00adaged by the Inter\u00adnet ser\u00advices provider. This DNS serv\u00ader is most of the time lim\u00adit\u00aded to the ser\u00advices provider\u2019s net\u00adwork users only and its cache con\u00adtains a part of the infor\u00adma\u00adtion col\u00adlect\u00aded in the past.
