The <strong><em>DNS<\/em><\/strong> allows to asso\u00adciate an under\u00adstand\u00adable name to an IP address. Then, we asso\u00adciate a log\u00adi\u00adcal address, the domain name to a phys\u00adi\u00adcal address, the IP address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-QXFtw8 eplus-wrapper\">The domain name and the IP address implied are\nunique. The DNS allows your mes\u00adsage to reach its recip\u00adi\u00adent and not some\u00adone else\nhold\u00ading a sim\u00adi\u00adlar domain name. It also allows you to type \u00ab www.nameshield.com\n\u00bb with\u00adout hav\u00ading to enter a long IP address and access to the appro\u00adpri\u00adate\nweb\u00adsite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-vwBNLh eplus-wrapper\">For these oper\u00ada\u00adtions, there are prin\u00adci\u00adpal\u00adly two\nservers types used:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list eplus-styles-uid-e19f6b\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Serv\u00ader doing author\u00adi\u00adty<\/strong>: <strong>DNS serv\u00ader<\/strong> which knows the domain con\u00adtent. (AFNIC servers which know\nwhat are in .Fr and can respond);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Resolver or recur\u00adsive serv\u00ader<\/strong>: <strong>DNS serv\u00ader<\/strong> which doesn\u2019t know any\u00adthing but asks ques\u00adtions to\nauthor\u00adi\u00adty servers and mem\u00ado\u00adrizes the answers.
